Prepare Tools and Safety Gear

Before starting, make sure you have the following items:

  • Screwdrivers (Phillips or hex key, depending on your scooter)
  • A compatible replacement battery (same voltage & connector type)
  • Insulated gloves
  • Safety glasses
  • A clean, dry workspace

Tip: Always **turn off the scooter** and **disconnect the charger** before working.

Access the Battery Compartment

  • Place the scooter on a **stable, level surface**.
  • Locate the battery compartment — usually **under the deck** or inside the main stem.
  • Use the appropriate screwdriver to **remove the screws securing the cover**.
  • Gently lift the cover and locate the battery pack.

Remove the Old Battery

  • **Disconnect the battery connector** from the controller. **Avoid pulling on the wires; use the plug.**
  • If there are securing straps or brackets, unfasten them.
  • Carefully lift the battery out of the compartment.
  • Inspect the compartment for dirt or corrosion and **clean it if needed**.

Warning: Never **short-circuit the battery terminals** — this can cause sparks or damage to the battery.

Install the New Battery

  • Place the new battery in the compartment, **ensuring it’s firmly seated**.
  • Reattach any securing straps or brackets.
  • **Connect the battery plug** to the controller, ensuring correct polarity and a firm connection.
  • Replace the compartment cover and **tighten the screws evenly**.
  • **Power on the scooter** to check if the battery is recognized and functioning.
  • **Fully charge the new battery** before your first ride.
